ExpressColo uses a firewall as well as an IDS (Intrusion Detection System).

The entire network is run through a stateful firewall that protects both inbound as well as outbound traffic. The firewall allows us to protect you from threats outside our network as well as potential problems inside the network. Utilizing the firewall we can quickly react to problems within the network and attacks from outside the network.

Additionally, the entire network is monitored via a pair of SNORT servers. These servers watch inbound and outbound traffic on the network looking for potential trouble.

ExpressColo takes security very seriously. We monitor these things so that any potential problems can be quickly mitigated and removed, before they become a problem for everyone.
